What it adds to your assistant
Not a job title. It works out what you're actually responsible for, in four parts: what you own that nobody else does, what you're judged on and by whom, what lands on you that isn't really yours, and what only you can decide. It drafts all four from your workspace and calendar, then you correct them. From then on it can tell when something isn't really yours, and it asks before assuming a decision is yours to make.
Try saying: "Is this one mine, or should it go to someone else?"
Setup
- Ask your assistant to define your role. Run it after the others.
- It reads your workspace, your calendar and your sent mail.
- It drafts the four parts first, and expects to be wrong.
- You correct it, and it writes your role down in your words.
